Club Tournaments

This page contains a synopsis of the Tournaments and Events available to Club bowling members annually. It is a generic listing, as organisers may alter the conditions and format of the events from time to time. More accurate details of each Event will be posted to this website closer to each Event.

1. Men’s Open Singles Championship:

  • Usually commences with Rounds 1 and 2 Mid-October on a Sunday
  • Standard green fees
  • Uniform required for Rounds 1 and 2 and Final.
  • Singles knock-out competition. 25-up.
  • Finals played 1st Sunday in December.
  • Usually sponsored. Club members only. No seedings.

2. Women’s Open Singles Championship

  • Usually commences with Rounds 1 and 2 on a Wednesday in mid October.
  • Standard green fees
  • Uniform required for all matches
  • Singles knock-out competition; 25 up.
  • Final played 1st Sunday in December.
  • Usually sponsored. Club Members only. No seedings.

3. Men’s Pairs Championship

  • Usually commences early November on a Sunday. Rounds 1 & 2.
  • Usual green fees. Uniform required for day 1 and for Finals.
  • Played over 18 ends in the 2-2-2-2 pairs format.
  • Usually sponsored.
  • Club Members only

4. Ladies’ Pairs Championship.

  • Usually commences with Rounds 1 & 2 late October, early November on a Wednesday.
  • Usual green fees payable. Club uniform required for all matches.
  • Played over 18 ends in the 2-2-2-2 pairs format.
  • Usually sponsored, and for Club members only.

5. Men’s Triples Championship

  • Usually starts Mid November on Sunday.
  • Standard green fees, and uniform required for Rounds 1 & 2 and Final
  • 2 bowls triples format, to 18 ends, with Final over 21 ends.
  • Usually a sponsored event, and Club Members only.

6. Ladies Triples Championship.

  • Usually commences mid February on a Wednesday.
  • Standard green fees, and Uniform to be worn for all matches
  • Two bowl triples format, over 18 ends. 21 ends in the Final.
  • Usually sponsored, and restricted to Club members only.

7. Men’s Fours Championship

  • Commences mid-December Sunday at 9.30 am
  • Green fees payable, and uniform to be worn for Rounds 1 & 2 and Final.
  • 18 ends in usual Fours format. Club Members only
  • Usually a sponsored event.

8.  Ladies Fours Championship

  • Commences Late November. Wed. at 10 am
  • Grenn fees payable, and bowls uniform to be worn.
  • 18 ends of standard Fours format. Club members only
  • Usually sponsored.

9. Men’s Minor Singles

  • Commences mid-January. Rounds 1 & 2 on a Sunday
  • Green fees payable, and Uniform required for Rounds 1,2 and Final.
  • Open to all male Club bowlers who have not won, or been runner-up in a Singles Tournament
  • Four bowl singles – 25 up format.
  • Often sponsored.

10. Ladies Minor Singles.

  • Commences mid-January. Rounds 1 & 2 on a Wednesday 10.00 am start.
  • Green fees payable, and uniform required for all matches.
  • Open to all female Club bowlers who have not won, or been runner up in a Club Singles or pairs tournament
  • Four-bowl singles. 25 up format.
  • Often sponsored

11. Mens’ Presidents Handicap

  • Usually commences Mid-january
  • Players are given an individual handicap, representing the number of shots they must make before starting to score.
  • Match is first to 100 points, with the closest four bowls to the kitty scoring 4-3-2-1 points.
  • Uniform to be worn for Rounds 1 and 2 and Final.
  • Normal green fees apply.
  • “Markers” to be arranged by the participants.

12: Ladies’ Presidents Handicap

  • Usually commences Mid-january
  • Players are given an individual handicap, representing the number of shots they must make before starting to score.
  • Match is first to 100 points, with the closest four bowls to the kitty scoring 4-3-2-1 points.
  • Uniform to be worn for all Rounds
  • Normal green fees apply.

1. Thursday Mixed Pairs:

  • Played all year round (weather permitting) 10.30 am start.
  • Casual dress. Usual green fees apply
  • 2-4-2 pairs format.  2 games 10 ends.
  • Open to Club members and guests
  • Prizes awarded.

2. Friday Mens Pairs:

  • Played all year round (weather permitting)
  • Casual dress. Usual green fees apply.
  • 2-4-2 pairs format. 2 games of 10 ends
  • Open to Club members and guests.
  • Prizes awarded.

3. Saturday Mixed Pairs (Off-season)

  • Commences when all Pennant, Tournament and Region events have concluded.
  • Casual dress. Usual green fees apply.
  • 2-4-2 pairs format. 2 games of 10 ends
  • Open to Club members and guests.
  • Prizes awarded.
