Club Championships
FTGBC proudly runs the Club Championships annually. Organisers may alter the conditions of play and/or the format from time to time. More accurate details for each discipline will be announced closer to each event.
Remember
- During Club Championship games that (where possible a rink either side should be left vacant.
- The diary in the breezeway is to be used to reserve rinks for Club Championship games.
Mens Events
1. Open Singles
- Usually commences with Rounds 1 and 2 mid-October
- Standard green fees
- Uniform required for Rounds 1 and 2 and Final
- Singles knock-out competition 25-up
- Usually sponsored
- Club members only
- No seedings
2. Pairs
- Usually commences early November
- Usual green fees payable
- Uniform required for day 1 and for Finals
- Played over 18 ends in the 2-2-2-2 pairs format
- Usually sponsored
- Club Members only
3. Triples
- Usually starts mid-November
- Standard green fees
- Uniform required for Rounds 1 & 2 and Final
- 2 bowls triples format, to 18 ends
- Final played over 21 ends
- Usually a sponsored event
- Club Members only
4. Minor Singles
- Commences mid-January
- Green fees payable
- Uniform required for Rounds 1, 2 and Final
- Open to all male Club bowlers who have not won, or been runner-up in a Club Singles or Pairs tournament
- Four bowl singles
- 25 up format
- Often sponsored
- Club Members only
5. Presidents Handicap
- Usually commences mid-January
- Players are given an individual handicap, representing the number of shots they must make before starting to score.
- Match is first to 100 points
- Closest four bowls to the jack scoring 4-3-2-1 points
- Uniform to be worn for Rounds 1, 2 and Final
- Normal green fees apply
- “Markers” to be arranged by the participants
Integrated Events
1. Fours
- Commences mid-December
- Green fees payable
- Uniform to be worn for Rounds 1 & 2 and Final
- 18 ends in usual Fours format
- Each team must consist of at least one female member
- Usually a sponsored event
- Club Members only
2. Proclamation Pairs
- Commences mid-January
- Green fees payable
- Uniform to be worn for Rounds 1 & 2 and Final
- 15 ends
- Each team must consist of one female and one male member
- Club Members only
